They say it takes a village to build a community. RUSH Construction Inc., a local contractor, is not only building structures to enhance the community, it believes in building dreams for people. Since he was four years old, Frank G. Ditz, M.D., has had audacious dreams, and, thanks to RUSH, he is currently experiencing one of these dreams in the form of a new, state-of-the art medical facility for his family practice serving the Suntree and Viera communities.
“This is by far the biggest purchase I’ve ever made, and I’m sure most likely the biggest purchase I’ll make in my entire life,” said Ditz. “I cannot tell you how wonderful I feel because I have the RUSH team on my side. They make me feel like I’m the most important person in the world.”
Ditz dedicates his knowledge and passion to his patients, doing whatever it takes to make people be the best they can be, and the new building is meant to make people come to an environment where they feel safe and secure. The Family Practice of Suntree and Viera is a 13,500 square-foot, plantation-style facility that features spacious and beautiful offices with breathtaking balconies. The concierge services offered will give Brevard County patients an improved personal touch, while also providing access to state-of-the-art medical technology and services, such as plasma and stem cell therapy. Ditz’s practice will also offer cash-pay services, including blood work, eye care, CT scans, MRIs and more.
“RUSH’s attention to detail and their attention to me, taking care of me and my building, is like nothing I’ve ever seen in my life,” asserted Ditz. “I would tell you choosing them was the best thing I’ve done in many years, and I wouldn’t have entrusted this building to this degree with anyone other than them.”
RUSH Vice President Mike Lapinski said Ditz is at the site every day watching the progress, and he loves seeing his enthusiasm.
“Most of my background is military,” said Lapinski. “For builders constructing military bases, we can’t really show them off. For Ditz, this is definitely his dream, and it makes you feel good to witness that.”
Stories like this carry weight within the community, and it is no surprise RUSH has come a long way over a short period of time. Executive Vice President Al Forbes shared that the company has made drastic headway and looks entirely different than just six months ago, which is a big deal considering the booming local economy.
“We’re a contractor, but we build things that can make a difference,” said Forbes. “By far, this project has been very rewarding for our team. As we always say to our clients, ‘If we do our job correctly, you will be free to look after your business during the construction process, and we’ll all have a great outcome.’”
The RUSH team expressed how rewarding it is to make a difference with their work, such as building structures that support first defenders, aerospace work that shapes our future, and commercial work that helps enhance infrastructure. On the medical side of things, RUSH contributes to enhancing individuals and their quality of life with projects such as the Family Practice of Suntree and Viera. What better way to shape a local economy than to start from the ground up?
“There are some organizations in the county that believe they have to go outside Brevard to bring a contractor in because the talent isn‘t here,” said RUSH President and CEO William Chivers. “They couldn’t be more wrong. The talent is here. We like it when customers use local talent because it keeps the money here, spurring our own economy.”
The RUSH team feels truly fortunate to make this impact within the community and cannot wait to see what the future holds for big dreamers like Dr. Frank G. Ditz.
