“HAVELSAN is experiencing a growing demand for virtual training systems from customers in Eastern Europe and the Middle East as they modernize their defense systems. We have worked with DiSTI products for many years in the development of our simulation products and recently delivered a program using DiSTI’s VE Studio for building a virtual training solution for the F-16 aircraft. Based on the success of this project, we have decided to expand our relationship with DiSTI and establish a strategic partnership to standardize on using VE Studio as a technology platform and co-market our solutions to customers requiring virtual training solutions. Having a facility and expertise closer to our customers in Eastern Europe and the Middle East will increase our ability to support our customers and win new programs. We are very excited about the potential for virtual training technology and our partnership with DiSTI,” said HAVELSAN Vice President of Training and Simulation Technologies, Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar.
Training and enablement professionals today need the flexibility to deliver content any time of day, around the world, using a variety of delivery platforms such as classroom desktops, mobile laptops or tablets. They have a need to use the latest immersive technology such as mixed, virtual or augmented reality via a cohesive development platform. DiSTI’s VE Studio uses a database-driven approach to develop and manage content and training procedures. It interfaces with commercial rendering engines such as Unity to provide flexible and robust virtual environments.
“We are very pleased that HAVELSAN has chosen to develop their virtual training solutions exclusively with VE Studio and look forward to collaborating with them in the development of virtual training solutions.
