Women in Business
Lyndsey Lang will tell you with all honesty that she never would have imagined herself in the payment processing industry. Her passions have always been in politics and entertainment, so a role in credit card processing or FinTech didn’t appear on her self-mapped horizon. Even so, Lang joined Fattmerchant as the first full-time hire in 2014 and immediately jumped two feet in. She loved that they were setting out to revolutionize a stagnant industry, and do it all in the interest of the small business owner.
Fattmerchant is the first subscription-based payment technology company empowering SMBs through simplified processing, innovative technology, and dedicated support. Working with businesses all over the U.S., the company was born and bred in Orlando, so community remains an important focus. Last year,
Fattmerchant saved over $2.4M for businesses – that is money that goes back into that small business’ bottom line, helping grow their business and promote local economic activity.
Although only a few years out of college, she is a part of the Founding Team at Fattmerchant and currently the managing director leading their Go To Market Strategy and Strategic Partnerships. Already having signed over 60 partners, Lang feels privileged to work with fantastic associations, financial institutions, and technology partners to bring Fattmerchant as an added value to all of their members.
In a very positive way the company has become part of Lang’s life, but the amazing thing is that the same sentiment resonates with everyone that works there. The team comes to work with a fire in their bellies excited to face new challenges, and understand the bigger picture of their contributions.
