EXECUTIVE: Karla Radka, Chief Operating Officer

Karla Radka is Goodwill Industries of Central Florida’s chief operating officer. In her role, she oversees administration, business development and marketing, financial management expansion, performance, retail and operation services, training and mission services. Radka spearheads Goodwill’s social enterprise model, revenue generation and organizational growth, as well as overseeing statewide partnerships with organizations such as the American Red Cross.
Among Radka’s accomplishments are launching Goodwill’s first fundraising philanthropic program to diversify Goodwill’s revenue streams and further enhance its visibility in the community. She also launched Goodwill University, a professional development program, to cultivate talent within the organization. She has also led an operational reorganization to increase efficiency and mission effectiveness. Under her leadership, Goodwill has exponentially increased its longstanding outreach to the homeless through key initiatives. Additionally, Radka has forged partnerships with Valencia College to provide scholarships to students in Goodwill’s Project COMPASS alternative high school program.
Radka’s career in public service spans more than two decades. Before joining Goodwill, she served as vice president of Community Impact and Leadership Development at Community Based Care of Central Florida, a local child welfare organization. She is also founding director of a national award-winning program, Public Allies Central Florida. In addition, she co-founded Hope Now International, which holds an annual Back to School Backpack Bash and Health Fair for local children, serving 10,000 kids per year. Radka also serves on the board of Community Health Centers of Central Florida.
Radka’s recognitions include the Orlando Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business 2015 Business Executive of the Year award, the “Life of Service” Award from Public Allies, the 2015 Don Quixote Professional of the Year Award, and the 2017 Women’s Achievement Award for Community Impact from the Women’s Executive Council. Radka is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences, universities and community events. She lives in Winter Springs with her family.
