TITLE: President and CEO

COMPANY: Saalex Solutions, Inc.

YEARS AT COMPANY: 15

DESCRIPTION:

Since 1999, Travis Mack has provided overall leadership and direction for Saalex, an engineering and information technology solutions company with a focus on range operations and maintenance, information technology, integrated logistics support, and engineering services for space and combat weapon systems domains. He continues to provide day-to-day executive oversight and guidance.

Mack’s previous experience includes multi-year service in the U.S. Navy, which introduced him to federal acquisition. His hands-on education along with numerous training opportunities that were provided by the Small Business Administration have been invaluable to Saalex’s success story.

Mack is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), a United Way Board Member and sits on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Mack holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and has completed many business management and leadership programs.

Mack enjoys the technical and business challenges of building a great organization from the ground up and constantly strives to deliver better service to his customers while looking for new ways to do things better and more efficiently. “Failure has made the organization a success; it has a unique way of identifying where your attention should really be focused,” said Mack. “Saalex has grown to a point where we have to look at diversification and leveraging our current capabilities into different business sectors. Having a mix of federal and commercial opportunities is the best of both worlds.”
