The American Advertising Federation-Orlando has announced the call for entries for the 2015 American Advertising Awards (ADDY). Sponsored by AAF National, the ADDY Awards is the largest competition of its kind in the industry, honoring excellence in advertising. To facilitate the growing number of professionals in the area, the AAF-Orlando application will be available online.
The online submission form (www.TheOrlandoADDYS.com) allows entrants to complete and print their own application packets before delivering to one of two locations. AAF-Orlando will also begin hand delivering packets to local businesses this week.
“Once a year, individuals and firms are offered the chance to showcase their very best advertising work in various categories,” said Jon Ruhff, president of AAF-Orlando. “An ADDY is incredibly difficult to earn and those awarded should take great pride in the accomplishment.”
The competition is broken down into three tiers: local, district and national. Winners in each category will move on to compete in the next tier, until national winners are chosen. While the local tier award ceremony always takes in place in Orlando, this year’s district awards will also be presented here for the first time in five years.
“We are thrilled to host this year’s district show and hope bringing the competition to Orlando will drive more participation and interest for area businesses,” remarked Ruhff. “Proceeds from the entry fees will go toward enhancing AAF programs such as advocacy, advertising education and consumer awareness.”
All entries must be delivered by January 15, 2015 to one of the following locations: Full Sail University’s Building 3B in Winter Park or Push Button Productions Downtown Orlando office. Visit www.TheOrlandoADDYS.com for more information on how to apply.
