Central Florida Mobile Additive Manufacturing Start-Up to Pitch at Rise of the Rest

(Orlando, Fla.) — On April 29, 2019, Central Florida-based digital manufacturing company, Millebot, will participate in the Rise of the Rest tour in Orlando, Florida. The company will present their mobile 3D printer and digital manufacturing platform to a live audience, including investors and CEOs including Steve Case, co-founder of AOL and current CEO of Revolution, Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, Sara Blakely, founder and CEO of Spanx, Meg Whitman, CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Alphabet Inc., among other notable panelists.

The Rise of the Rest initiative is a nationwide effort led by Steve Case, to find and invest in start-ups across the United States. is Seventy-five-percent of venture capital investments go to just three states. Once a year, the tour visits cities across the country for investments in the most promising seed-stage companies that might otherwise be overlooked due to location.

Backed by a group of iconic entrepreneurs, executives and investors, the Rise of the Rest Seed Fund invests in passionate entrepreneurs who leverage their expertise in various industries to change the way we live, work and conduct business. With a minimum of 20 investments per year, the tour funds hundreds of start-ups across the nation.

Andy Tran, founder and CEO, of Millebot Inc., will present the Millebot, a modular digital-manufacturing platform. The team converts ISO shipping containers into mobile digital-manufacturing systems. The machine has the potential to disrupt the manufacturing and production workflows for any industry that uses prototyping, modular design or requires on-demand components. The massive 3D printing machine has the ability to print in recycled materials, plastics, polymers, metals, and cement.

Headquartered at the Orlando Executive Airport, Millebot has cemented their roots in Central Florida, where companies like Disney and Lockheed Martin, and universities such as the University of Central Florida, Valencia College and Seminole State College, provide a wide talent pool for innovative partnerships.
