The East Orlando Chamber of Commerce (EOCC) is eager to host their Annual Local Charities Luncheon at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 hosted at the Holiday Inn East – UCF Area. Each year, a handful of local charities are featured in this event as EOCC members and members of the community recognize them and their impact in our community. The 2020 luncheon theme is “Lights, Camera, Action” and features speaker Beat Kahli, president/CEO of Avalon Park Group.
This years’ featured charities include American Cancer Society, Black Orlando Tech, CareerSource Central Florida, Embrace Families, and Harbor House of Central Florida. The charities will select a movie that resonates with their mission and showcase themselves through creative trailers, booths, and centerpieces. Attendees have a chance to learn more about the missions of these charities and fulfill a “wish” from the Giving Tree, where charities place ornaments with specific needs to be taken and fulfilled.
The Local Charities Luncheon serves as a platform to recognize outstanding nonprofit members of the Central Florida community. President/CEO, Andrew Cole, says “2020 was a challenging year for many, we thought it was especially important to host this luncheon and bring to light those who are continuing to strengthen our community with their non-profit work”. All members of the community are invited to participate in this event. The luncheon is provided at $35 for members, and $40 for nonmembers. Admission includes a Taste of Italy buffet with culinary selections such as caesar salad, chicken parmesan, penne in alfredo, and more. In compliance with CDC regulations, space is limited, registration and masks are required. To register, guests can visit https://www.eocc.org.
