Companies now in the running to be selected as an Honoree for this year’s award

ORLANDO, FL – GrowFL is pleased to announce that 82 second-stage growth companies are now in the running to become the next class of GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Honorees. Now in its 11th year, the finalists will work to complete a second-round application and go through a final round of judging in the coming weeks. The finalists were selected from more than 600 nominations from throughout Florida, and represent a diverse group of growing companies representing a variety of industries.

Companies to Watch was developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation as a unique way to recognize and honor second-stage companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace with innovative strategies and processes. In addition to evaluating past growth and projected success, applicant companies are judged according to their special strengths and impact in their markets, communities, and within the state – thus deeming them worth watching.

The 11th Annual GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards Celebration is brought to you by Nperspective CFO & Strategic Services, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation.

To qualify for the award, companies must have between 6 and 150 employees and revenue between $750,000 and $100 million in 2020. Knowing these companies were reporting employment and revenue during the height of the pandemic, it is remarkable to note that in 2020, the companies reported a total of more than 2,200 jobs and generated close to $500 million in revenue. These companies anticipate growth of 64-percent in revenue and 39-percent in employment by the end of 2021.

“There’s no doubt 2020 was a challenging year for businesses across the state. Despite that, these second-stage companies persevered, continued to innovate, and continued to grow. These companies are more than deserving to be recognized for their success and accomplishments,” said Lisa McIntosh, GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Chair and CEO of C-E-Optimal Advisors.

GrowFL will host events across Florida as an opportunity to meet the finalists. Click hereto see all 82 finalists and find a finalist event in your region.

Honorees for this year’s award will be announced in October and GrowFL will host its annual awards celebration on February 17, 2022, at Hard Rock Live, Universal City Walk, Orlando, FL.
