(ORLANDO, Fla. March 26, 2018) The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando (HCCMO) Board of Directors announced today that following a national search, Gaby Ortigoni has been elected to serve as president of the organization. She will assume the role on April 9, 2018.

With 20 years of experience serving the Central Florida Hispanic community, Ortigoni most recently served as regional vice-president of Prospera, an economic development, nonprofit organization specialized in providing bilingual assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their business. During her tenure, Ortigoni played an instrumental role in leading Prospera through transformational growth and enhancing the services provided to Hispanic-owned businesses in the region. Prior to joining Prospera, Ortigoni was the manager of community relations at OUC-The Reliable One. She also previously worked with HCCMO as director of marketing and sales.

HCCMO Board Chair Paul Roldan said, “We are grateful to the search committee for their diligent work in helping us select a president who will help lead the Chamber to great heights. We are excited that our next president has knowledge of this market and a vast experience serving this Chamber as a volunteer, staff member, sponsor and strategic partner. Gaby is a consummate professional with the deep roots in this community, integrity, and leadership we were seeking.”

“I am honored for the opportunity to keep serving the Central Florida business community,” said Ortigoni. “I look forward to working closely with the HCCMO Board, trustees, dedicated staff, and its members to continue to evolve the Chamber’s mission and advocacy efforts.”

Throughout her professional career, Ortigoni has been strongly committed to business development, strategic relationship building, economic development, international business, government affairs, and comprehensive community development. Ortigoni has received numerous awards, including the Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award & Women Who Mean Business, Hispanic Women Who Make the Difference Award from La Prensa, Orange County Sheriff’s Office Community Service Award, and the Orlando Police Department’s Good Citizenship Award, among others.
