Acquisition continues the strategic expansion of Hub International in the Southeast and Florida
Hub International Limited (Hub), a leading global insurance brokerage, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Kuykendall Gardner (Kuykendall Gardner), a Central Florida-based insurance brokerage. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Kuykendall Gardner will become part of Hub International Southeast (Hub Southeast) operations. The acquisition establishes a new location for Hub in Central Florida to service the local market needs and provide expertise for middle market customers.
Kuykendall Gardner, located in Winter Park, FL was founded in 1953 and has been an established presence in Central Florida for 61 years. Jack Kuykendall, President of Kuykendall Gardner, will become Chairman of Hub’s Florida operations and work closely with the Hub Southeast team to continue to expand Hub’s Florida footprint and grow the current business organically. Chris Gardner will become Chief Executive Officer of all Florida operations. Kuykendall and Gardner will report to Mike Chapman, CEO of Hub Southeast.
“Chris Gardner and I see Hub as a perfect partner going forward,” said Kuykendall. “We will continue to maintain our strong local presence and team while using the Hub platform to target larger prospects that were previously outside of our range. We can expand our current offerings with Hub’s resources to continue to deliver more to our existing clients. This is a great outcome for our employees and carries on the traditions we established in building this company.”
“We welcome Chris and Jack to our leadership team,” said Chapman. “They bring a tremendous group of talented employees, excellent customers, and strong expertise in many key areas, along with an outstanding reputation with our insurance carrier partners. This is a great win for both organizations.”
