LILAC Women’s Business Organization Blossoms To Make A Difference

Three Local Business Leaders Launch Initiative of Ladies Inspiring Leadership and Community

ORLANDO, Florida (Sept. 14, 2021) – Three different Central Florida women, leaders in three different industries, had a lengthy discussion about bringing women together in a special way to support each other’s success, leadership and sense of community. Within months of that conversation, LILAC was born as the brand-new Ladies Inspiring Leadership and Community organization.

Monthly events include Whine and Wine Wednesdays held the second Wednesday of every month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at various locations and Tuesday Morning Mugs held the first Tuesday of every month from 8 to 9 a.m. at Café Linger on Edgewater Dive in College Park. Both events provide a perfect balance of inspiration, collaboration and enthusiasm.

The buzz about LILAC, a 501©(3) charitable organization, has Founding Members Keri Burns, Jill Cooper and Carolina Marin excited about all the Central Florida women who have so much to offer one another. “Our mission in life is about finding pathways to motivate, encourage and inspire those around us while providing a safe space for genuine caring,” explained Burns, who is Regional Director for Central Florida of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA).

“I look at the hard working, beautiful women I have had the pleasure of knowing and I am inspired to do my best,” exclaimed Cooper, who is Senior Sales Manager and Business Development Officer for Blown Away Property Services Company.

Marin, an executive with Fast Signs, a Sommelier and partner of KCuvée Wine Education and Consulting, is just as passionate about the organization and its mission. “No one succeeds alone. The stronger our support system is, the stronger we are. I’ve been blessed with all the amazing women who helped me become who I am now and it’s my turn to give back,” she added.

LILAC will be holding a special brunch event to induct and recognize new members at the Florida Room at Dubsdread in College Park on Oct. 8. For more information on LILAC and its schedule of events, go to www.lilacfl.org. For membership details, email Keri Burns at keri@lilacfl.org.
