ORLANDO, FL.—OCTOBER 23, 2020— After an extensive and thoughtful search process, the Board of Directors of The Gateway Orlando District is pleased to announce that Lourdes Mola has been named Executive Director. Lourdes is an experienced leader, a national award- wining bilingual professional with a proven track record in leading business development efforts, creating multicultural strategies, communications and public relations. Lourdes will work diligently with the leaders of the district to revitalize the beauty and economic vitality of the Semoran Corridor.
Lourdes is uniquely qualified to join the leadership team of The Gateway District. A proven leader in Corporate America with extensive experience, including, CEO of Lourdes Mola Solutions, she helps “fuel the business” of small local businesses as well as Fortune 500 Companies, leveraging 25 years of corporate expertise.
Lourdes’ genuine and innovative approach has earned her a reputation for getting things done within the Central Florida Community. She takes pride in her community and provides positive and inspirational guidance to the next generation of entrepreneurs, business developers and innovators at every opportunity. Lourdes adds, “As a small business owner and a first-generation Cuban-American, I have a deep understanding and respect for the influence ethnicity, race, language, and culture has on our society. That’s why I am so excited to help lead this organization that is so vital to our community.”
An active member of the community serving as a volunteer on numerous nonprofit boards including the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando, Orlando Economic Partnership, Central Florida Foundation. She was appointed by Governor, Rick Scott, and Governor, DeSantis to serve on the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County, and in 2016 was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Executive Council.
