As it became evident throughout Central Florida that the Lake Nona community was growing and developing at a pace that almost no one saw coming, the seed was planted within the minds of the directors at Florida Bank of Commerce that the community bank may want to consider opening a new location to serve this area’s growing need. Following careful consideration, the bank began to move forward with plans to open its seventh location in the Lake Nona community, but bank leadership wanted to wait until they found the perfect person to manage the new operations before making it official. They found that leader in Maria Rodammer, a 37-year-old commercial and personal banking dynamo who was named Market Manager of the bank’s new Lake Nona office just last year.
In her role, Rodammer is leading market expansion efforts in Lake Nona, working directly with clients who are seeking solutions for their personal and business banking needs. She has been in the banking industry in Central Florida for more than 13 years.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Rodammer received dual degrees in management information systems and marketing in 2000. She lives in East Orlando with her family, and considers it incredibly important to model a commitment to the community that she can pass on to her children. She is presently involved with The Rotary Club of Avalon Park, the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando, UCP of Central Florida and Florida Hospital Sharing Smiles.
Asked when she knew Rodammer was the right person to lead the charge in Lake Nona, Florida Bank of Commerce President and CEO Dana Kilborne stated, “Immediately. Her mission is in line with that of Florida Bank of Commerce. She is passionate about playing an integral role in the growth of her client’s businesses, and that fits in perfectly with our motto that ‘All You Need is One Good Bank.’”
