CEO NEXUS CUP AWARD WINNER: Florida Engineering Group, Inc. (FEG)

FEG was started in 1993 in a small office above what is now the Fiat dealership in downtown Orlando by its current President and CEO, Sam J. Sebaali, P.E.

FEG was started in 1993 in a small office above what is now the Fiat dealership in downtown Orlando by its current President and CEO, Sam J. Sebaali, P.E. The firm had steady growth from its early start where it grew from one employee in 1993 to 12 employees in 2004 when Jean Abi-Aoun, P.E. joined the firm as a shareholder and vice president. FEG doubled its size between 2004 and 2007. The economic recession, which caused an unprecedented slowdown in land development, impacted FEG’s growth. However, the innovative approach to problem solving and focus on quality service helped FEG sustain this challenging period.

In the last three years, FEG has re-energized and is now on a new growth path with 2014 being its best calendar year so far. Currently, FEG provides multi-disciplined civil engineering services for residential, industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal projects throughout Florida from its headquarters in Orlando and throughout Georgia, from a branch office in Decatur.  FEG’s clients include an A-list of private developers and various government agencies with a focus on private land development and municipal engineering.

FEG has been recognized as one of the top southeast design firms by the Engineering News-Record for the past five years.

“FEG’s commitment to consistently provide our clients with outstanding quality professional engineering services and add value through the delivery of cost-effective and value engineered solutions will, in no doubt, allow us to continue our growth into the future,” said Sebaali.

CEO Nexus, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship at Rollins College, Florida High Tech Corridor Council and GrowFL, brings together leaders of established growth-oriented businesses in a confidential setting to meet and learn from CEO peers who have grown their companies into more advanced stages of business development. The CEO Nexus Cup is a traveling trophy and member-recognition award, recognizing those companies that have achieved growth and entrepreneurial success, in part due to their collaboration with CEO Nexus.
